Advice and answers from the karmaCRM Team

The Google Apps widget, once installed, provides a number of enhancements to both karmaCRM and Google Apps (giving you the ability to log in to karma from the app as well as being able to add contacts from the app). This article will cover the steps you should follow to complete the process of installing Google Apps for your new or existing karmaCRM account.

Installing - New Account

If you do not have a karma account yet, as a Google Apps admin follow these instructions: Log into your Google Business account.

Go to https://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/viewListing?productListingId=12674+9221615143535267378&category=&query=karmacrm to install the app.

Click on Add it now.

Click on I agree. Continue.

Click on Grant Data Access.

Click on Configure Application.

On the karmaCRM screen, click on Create New Account.

Fill out the sign up form. Once this has been completed, an account is automatically created for you.

Installing - Existing karmaCRM Account

If you have an existing karmaCRM account, as a Google Apps admin follow these instructions: Log into your Google Business account. Go to https://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/viewListing?productListingId=12674+9221615143535267378&category=&query=karmacrm to install the app. Click on Add it now.

Click on I agree. Continue.

Click on Grant Data Access.

Click on Configure Application.

Enter your login information for karma, and click on Login.

Click on Use this Organization for your karma account.

Any other Google Apps users who have a matching karmaCRM account (matching by email) will be able to automatically authenticate and start using the widget as well.

Using It

Creating new Contacts

Upon opening emails, you’ll see a grey box at the bottom of the email. This box attempts to look up the message recipient in karmaCRM.

If it exists, it loads their info (email, phone number, etc.).

If it does not, you are presented with the option to add the contact.

Adding Gmail Messages to karmaCRM

Once the contact is added to karma, you have the option to also add the message.

Once the message is added, the gadget will tell you that it was added so you know what is and isn’t in karmaCRM.
