karmaCRM enables you to create a new task by using different options such as create a task manually, by using task record templates and by using task templates.

You can see that the new task is added to list of all tasks. 

In the list of tasks, there are different scenario to edit the task details.

Edit a Task Created by Using Record Template or by Manually

When you place the mouse pointer on specific task, you can see the edit icon, as below.

Click on

to edit the details of the corresponding task. The Edit Task window appears as below.

You can make the following changes.

  • Name of task
  • Due date
  • Add more reminders
  • Change the assigned user
  • Add more participants
  • Delete available participants
  • Category
  • Description
  • List

You can also use the task record template. 

Click on Save button to save the changes.

Edit a Task Created by Using Task Template

There are different steps of a task that is created by task template. You can edit each step of a task as below.

Place the mouse pointer on the specific step, the edit icon appears as below.

Click on

to edit the corresponding step of a task. The Edit Task window appears where you can make the required changes.

You can change the details of step such as title, due date, and category. While creating a task template, you generally define different steps to complete a task. So, you can also use a record template to add some generic details such as assigned user name, and participants. Click on Save button to save the changes.
